Beginning Marimba Classes

Classes for beginners will start if there is enough interest. To be put on our email notification list contact Lynne Swift ph: 541-345-9454 or email: lynneswift[at]comcast{dot}net

Tuition & Membership

Regularly-scheduled marimba classes run for 10 weeks. Tuition each term is $90 for Kutsinhira members and $110 for non-members; a yearly membership (which runs from September) is $30 for an individual and $50 for a family (prorated quarterly). Membership provides reduced tuition for classes and workshops with guest Zimbabwean teachers, plus newsletters, email notification of events, participation in our annual membership meeting/party, discounts on CDs, t-shirts, concerts, etc. Enrollment is on a term-by-term basis.

If there is not enough interest to warrant an adult beginning marimba class, private tutoring can be arranged individually with the goal of eventually entering an on-going class.

To enroll in a class, please do two things:

1. Email Lynne Swift that you plan to enroll: 541-345-9454 or lynneswift[at]comcast{dot}net

2. Send a deposit check of $20 to: Kutsinhira Cultural Arts Center, PO Box 26111, Eugene, Oregon 97402.

This deposit will reserve your spot in the class. The deposit will be applied to your tuition but, if you cancel your registration, the deposit is nonrefundable. If you pay tuition for a class and then drop out, the tuition is also non-refundable. If Kutsinhira cancels the class due to insufficient enrollment, a full refund will be made. After we receive your deposit you will be sent more information on the class and directions to our studio (which is in west Eugene). You can also go here to view directions to Kutsinhira.

Please email or phone Lynne Swift (541-345-9454 or lynneswift[at]comcast{dot}net) if you have any questions.

We hope to see you in class soon!
