Update - Zimfest 2009
ZimFest is coming June 25-28, 2009 to Boulder, Colorado! A lively and fun-filled celebration of Zimbabwean music and culture, ZimFest is the largest annual gathering in North America of students, teachers, performers, and fans of Zimbabwean music. Join us for a full weekend of concerts & presentations, plus workshops in marimba, singing, dance, drum, and hosho. Offerings at levels from total, "never-ever" beginner through expert. Special youth, choral, and continuing education teacher tracks. Workshops & afternoon concerts on the beautiful CU Boulder campus and evening concerts in town where you can take advantage of all the wonderful dining, shopping, cultural, and entertainment opportunities Boulder offers. Concert headliners and workshop schedules finalized in January, 2009. Workshop and teacher application forms available Monday, Nov. 17, 2008.

A note from the organizers
Boulder is proud to be host for the 2009 Zimbabwean Music Festival!
We know that many of you will be traveling some distance to get here, so we'll begin our festival on Thursday with afternoon workshops and an opening ceremony at the Thursday evening concert. The festival will close on Sunday at noon, after a morning of workshops, leaving enough time to travel back home for the start of your work week on Monday.
Workshops & afternoon concerts on the beautiful CU-Boulder campus. Evening concerts at the Fox Theater on the lovely "University Hill." Accommodations available on and near campus within walking distance to workshops, evening shows, and the historic Pearl Street Mall.
Festival highlights include:
