DESCRIPTION:Share in the excitement of Kwaziwai’s December 2024 trip to Zimbabwe\, including visits to Tariro\, Ubuntu\, Ngoma Ingungu and other cultural and community development projects supported by Kutsinhira’s Zimbabwe Community Development Program (ZCDP). Director Gary Spalter and members of Kwaziwai will present videos\, slides and memories from the trip in The Commons/Cafeteria at the Village School\, 3411 Willamette Street in Eugene. \nHighlights from the trip include playing marimba\, dancing\, singing\, learning mbira\, visiting a wildlife conservation park with new-found Zimbabwean friends\, and\, most importantly\, the heartfelt connections that were created through the love of the music of Zimbabwe. \nFree admission. Donations accepted.100% of all donations from this event will go to support ZCDP projects in Zimbabwe. \nZimbabwean arts and crafts will be available for purchase. \nLight refreshments will be served.

DESCRIPTION:Kutsinhira’s annual yard sale is coming Saturday June 1\, 8-4 and Sunday June 2\, 11-3.  This year will feature live marimba music on Saturday at 10\, 12 and 2pm. The sale will include lots of household items\, a barely-used bicycle\, pack and play gear\, appliances\, furniture and much more. Check out the new African arts and crafts acquired in Zimbabwe last year.  All proceeds support Kutsinhira’s educational programs as well as the Zimbabwean Community Development Program\, which funds other organizations doing community-benefit work in Zimbabwe.   \nWe are also accepting returnable bottles and cans in support of our ZCDP funding.
