Kutsinhira Cultural Arts Center is pleased to announce the 15th annual Camp paGungwa (“by the ocean”), a four-day mbira intensive on the Oregon Coast, with Musekiwa Chingodza; also, under the joint sponsorship of Kutsinhira and the University of Oregon, Sekuru Cosmas Magaya will be offering classes and cultural presentations at this camp, at no additional charge to attendees – a truly exceptional and dynamic duo!
Camp will be held at our traditional ocean-side retreat in Florence, Oregon, on Labor Day weekend (Friday evening 8/31/2018 through early afternoon on Monday, 9/3/2018).
Mbira will be taught and played from beginner through advanced levels, plus hosho, drumming, singing and dance. A complete workshop schedule is available upon request.
